96th – 98th Cinderella Ball Beneficiary

The Cinderella Ball debutantes volunteered for a variety of programs and events throughout the year at The Zoo. During our busy summer season, they assisted the Education Department with animal presentations, introducing zoo guests to the ambassador animals. The debutantes not only educated our guests about these amazing species, but they learned how to care for them as well. They also helped with several special events from Breakfast with the Animals to the Asian Lantern Festival, to ZooBoo, creating memorable experiences for all of the attendees. During the holiday season, the young women came together to create beautiful wreaths that were auctioned to support our Sea Turtle Second Chance program. Throughout the year, they acted as Zoo Ambassadors, engaging our guests and fostering a positive connection with our animals.

95th Cinderella Ball Beneficiary

At the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, the young women volunteered virtually by marketing through social networks to help spread the word about the COVID19 Critical Fund campaign which helped the Trust continue to present virtual programs and performances, sustain the arts in Pittsburgh, and ensure a successful reopening of the Trust’s venues when it is safe to do so. In addition, the girls worked with the Development Department to send Thank You cards to donors throughout the summer. Their support in this sharing and marketing digital performances helped PCT to engage a wider audience for our digital selections while in-person programming was in intermission.

94th Cinderella Ball Beneficiary

At The Frick, the debutantes logged over 530 volunteer hours assisting the development and exhibition teams, working with the education department to prepare and run programs like Art Tables and Summer Friday crafts for school groups, preparing marketing materials and working as greeters at media preview events, engaging with guests at events, working in merchandising in the gift shop, and helping with gardening in the Playhouse Kitchen herb garden.

At Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre the debutantes helped with marketing and development work as well as staffing of performance and events.

92nd Cinderella Ball Beneficiary

Debutantes had hands-on experience working directly with children on art projects and other morale-boosting activities.

91st Cinderella Ball Beneficiary

Debutantes helped to run summer science camp and other programs at the Carnegie Science Center.

90th Cinderella Ball Beneficiary

At Phipps Conservatory, the debutantes assisted in prepartions for upcoming exhibitions, staffed events, and helped with marketing materials.
